    • Thank you for thinking of us!

Yes! Those kitchen items are very much needed by someone leaving a women’s shelter or a refugee family that is starting their life with nothing. You can drop them off on Wednesday at the yellow house next door to the church at 1136 West 5th Street. Volunteers are there 10 am to 1 pm. If you can’t drop it during that time, yo can still leave it in the carport, or bring it over to the church at 1120 West 5th Street.

Im a single mom in desperate need of a love seat . My now exhusband had stolen our living room set and would appreciate any kind of help with this. I do not drive and live on barnesdale ave south hamilton

    • Thank you for your enquiry.

I’m not sure what there is right now, and the fact of the matter is, that what is available is changing on a daily basis. It is impossible to promise anything to anyone as we operate first come, first served. What we tell everyone is to come and see what we have available. If we’ve got what you need, it’s yours. Volunteers are generally at the church mornings and early afternoons Monday to Friday. And often times Monday mornings are better because people clean up their places on the weekend and drop stuff off all weekend long. But I can’t promise anything.

So if you can find a friend to give you a ride, or the #35 College bus route gets you to Stonechurch and West 5th and then you just have to walk up West 5th towards Rymal. If there’s something you like, we can generally hold it until Saturday to give you an opportunity to make arrangements to have someone pick it up. We don’t make deliveries. The volunteers sometimes have names and phone numbers of people who will help with getting the stuff you pick to you. They usually charge a fee to cover their vehicle costs. So you can ask a volunteer for a name and phone number so you can make an arrangement with them.

For clothing, volunteers are at the yellow house next door at 1136 West 5th Street Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm. For furniture, volunteers are generally at the church at 1120 West 5th Street mornings and early afternoons Monday to Friday.

If you cannot make it during these times, you can always leave your donations at any time/day that is convenient for you. Clothing can be left in the carport of the yellow house next door at 1136 West 5th Street and furniture can be left on the front porch in front of the glass doors of the church at 1120 West 5th Street.

      Thank you.

Hi I’m a mom of seven and pregnant and was wondering if you had any winter coats as it’s getting chilli out now.. and buying brand new can be quite expensive and they grow so fast..

    • Thank you for your enquiry.

With the amount of donations always coming in and the large number of people coming to pick up items, it is virtually impossible to help you over email or phone. We would suggest that you (or a family member) come and visit us, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm at the yellow house at 1136 West 5th Street (next door to the church) and see what is available.

Hi I have two kitchen tables and chairs do you accept those items? If so do you have a pick up service I don’t have a vehicle to transport them

    • Thank you for your enquiry.

We would be happy to accept your donation and be able to give the items to those who need them most. However, we do not have any volunteers who can do pick-ups. If you can find someone to bring it, they can come at anytime that is suitable for them, day or night. If there is no volunteer here when they come, they can always leave it on the front porch of the church in front of the glass doors.

      Thank you.
